PENNY
Penny plays alto and tenor saxes in the band. She also sings and teaches professionally. She trained with the BBC in London as a sound engineer working in radio, and spent any spare time gigging on the local jazz scene. She's also done a range of other jobs from secretary to business tutor, farm worker to model, but music has always been a central and enduring passion in her life. Her recordings include a jazz session for Radio Two, and some commercial CDs of childrens songs. Penny moved north to Barnsley in 2006 and is enjoying good Yorkshire life. She loves all animals (so much nicer than most people!), is vegetarian, and is owned by 2 fat cats. If its unusual, dangerous or stupid, Penny will have a go. Life is for living, and the very best things in life are free hurrah!
