TONY

Tony is born and bred in Hull. His previous band "Sons of the Desert" were Hulls top soul band for 3 years up to 2005. Before then, he had been in various bands, including "The Works in the 80's and in the 90's "White Lies" a U2 tribute band. This experience means he is no stranger to big gigs such as Hull City Hall, Bridlington Spa and The KC Stadium. He was originally taught brass in the Hull Junior Philharmonic Orchestra and of course could read music then, playing the cornet, tuba and euphonium. He is largely self-taught in terms of playing keyboards primarily due to his mums influence, and can always "pick it up by ear" when needed. In command of up to 4 keyboards on stage as well as undertaking some backing vocals tony is kept busy in highly Strung. He also has a bit of a thing about recording everything!!!! Just ask the rest of the band
